Aerospace Technology

For this activity, students will think like an Aircraft Maintenance Technician by designing, building, testing, and improving an aircraft using a variety of materials. This will require students to apply problem-solving, communication, creativity and innovation skills while exploring how different design choices can affect an aircraft’s performance.

Time required to complete this activity: approximately 45-60 minutes.

Recommended grade: appropriate for grades 6-12.
