Discover Marine Trades In-School Presentations

Our Discover Marine Trades Presentation is an engaging and interactive hour that introduces Grade 10 students to the exciting world of marine sector skilled trades.

From welding and metal fabrication to electrical, pipefitting, millwright, and industrial coatings, students will discover how ships are built layer by layer, how different trades work together, and why Nova Scotia’s ocean economy offers so many rewarding career paths close to home. The presentation includes marine industry examples, a Marine Trades game, (plus prizes!), and a leave behind Marine Metal Fabrication Try-A-Trade kit for students to further engage with marine careers after the presentation.
