Skilled Futures – Green Energy Workshop

The Skilled Futures in Green Energy Workshop is an interactive experience that introduces students to renewable energy technologies while highlighting the skilled trades shaping the future of energy.

Students explore a range of green energy alternatives and how these technologies are designed, built, and maintained through skilled trades. The workshop emphasizes how trades and technology collaborate in real-world energy systems.

Students then work in teams to design their own renewable energy product or business and present their idea in a short pitch-style challenge, building skills in problem-solving, innovation, and communication. The workshop also includes live demonstrations of a green hydrogen fuel cell car and hands-on activities.

• Offered to Grade 8 students across the province from December to June.
