Learn. Try. Compete.

The Nova Scotia Skills Competition will be returning for 2021!

This spring, Skills Canada – Nova Scotia is proud to be offering secondary students in the province three unique ways to explore skilled trades and technologies without ever having to leave the comfort and safety of the classroom.

Since we cannot be together in person, we have created our brand new: Learn, Try, Compete model. Through this we hope to provide a similar experience to what students would receive from our amazing in-person events. Teachers and students are welcome to participate in one, two, or all three of our offerings.

New to the 2021 Nova Scotia Skills Competition, we will be offering our very own VIRTUAL CAREER SHOWCASE.

Join us this spring to participate in an interactive Career Showcase, where leading industry partners will set up virtual booths to give students a snapshot into a variety of careers in skilled trades and technologies. We’ll also provide teachers with a fun, classroom-friendly activity to facilitate student learning and engagement.

Our goal is to create an experience for students that highlights a variety of available opportunities from in-demand careers and give them a sneak peek into what their bright future could look like.

The Virtual Career Showcase will run April 12th–16th, 2021.
Registration opens March 1, 2021.
