Try-A-Trade® Take-Out - Baking

Baking

In small groups (2-4), students will use the ingredients and instructions provided by Skills Canada – Nova Scotia to bake a homemade apple crisp with a recipe from World Skills competitor, Olivia Sewell.

Time required to complete this activity: approximately two-to-three hours.

Recommended grade: appropriate for grades 6-12

Considerations: Strong smells. Not recommended for those with sensory issues related to strong smells.

*PREREQUISITES: to register for this activity you will need access to an oven, baking trays, 2 mixing bowls for each group, and measuring cups.

SCNS will provide reimbursement for ingredients up to $100 per educator.
